To be fit for life is a journey we can all achieve with hard work and dedication.
that sounds very depressing let's just hope the warrior challenge is better.
I was disappointed too. This race has great potential to be great, but there was lack of organization & volunteers. There were no volunteers along the whole field portion & some people didn't know they were suppose to go around the field. There were obstacles like a lot of rocks, branches & holes in this part of the race. If someone got hurt, no one would know. After finishing, there was just a cup of water & a beer for refreshments. Nothing else. All other races I've done (I've done ALOT) have had something as food at the end. What we got was different from the advertised web site. I felt that the race was too expensive for what little we got & experience.
I was in the first wave also and the lack of organization was extremely sad. I didn't know where to check my bag because the bag check place wasn't even set up yet. Glad I arrived early so I didn't have to pay their $10.00 per car for parking.
Looks like there was potential for a fun race! Too bad it didn't pan out that way! Bummer!
In the end I wrote the customer service and told them about my experience and was sent some t-shirts and gift certificates. That was nice of them. I feel that everyone in wave one deserved these things as well. Or anyone affected by everything that went on. This could have been a super awesome race close to home.
I find it funny that whoever is in charge of the MudChug Facebook page deletes anything remotely negative. I put on their Facebook page "I liked the race & obstacles, the whole process lacked organization. I was in the 1st wave & didn't get that muddy". MudChug deleted my comment & then unfriended me. I saw other comments that were very negative & they got deleted. MudChug should have put more effort into the organization of their event. I wasn't being mean or nasty. I didn't list every single thing that was wrong like showing up to packet pick up 20 minutes late, no pins for numbers, names not alphabeticalized.
